Rose Gold Engagement Rings

Rose gold is one the gold rings available and is less common than white and yellow.

Because pure gold (24 carat) is too soft for jewellery, there is a need to mix alloys in with pure gold to create a stronger metal.  Rose gold, increasingly popular as a choice in rings, is a gold and copper alloy. There are a few varieties of colors that fall under the ‘rose gold’ umbrella, including red and pink gold. In general, the more copper in the mix, the redder the ring will be. Rose gold does not require rhodium plating, like white gold does making it more appealing. Because of its rose colour it compliments all skin tones and has a vintage look.
